I’ve always had an affinity with stationery; years of collecting notepads to keep ‘for best’ as they’re too pretty to use, pens that just look aesthetically pleasing, and of course, stickers – all the stickers for my diary please. As inspired by Kate’s recent post, I thought I’d share a few of my fave pieces and brands for stationery heaven…
I’ve turned to Paperchase ever since secondary school, and in the last few years particularly the designs have got better and better. The design team behind some of your fave collections is only small but they work so hard to make each item fun, plus they’ve now started importing other brands from the USA and Japan (more on that below) which makes the wide variety of stationery including Washi Tape and campaigns with TFL even more epic. I always look forward to their press days and craft events, so much fun and great to see the designs evolve, and you can usually find me in the flagship store each time I go to Central. Addicted.
Kikki.K was a discovery of mine last December after stumbling across their flagship in Covent Garden, and the Swedish aesthetics paired with a range of colours and collections for everyone makes them a stationery lover’s heaven. There’s even a few little extras such as the Habits and Happiness books to keep your goals on track and make life progress, but I love the 2016 Diary I picked up along with the to-do list – all the blue, such happiness.
As I said before, Paperchase stock other brands aside from their own designs and it’s through them I discovered Ban.do and American Crafts; now these two are most likely to make you want to be organised – Ban.do being the sister company of Kate Spade has a fun and fresh spin on their products (including the OMG Sticker Book which is simple but genius) to reflect the laid back LA lifestyle with fun illustrations, whilst American Crafts is a cute hark back to traditional girly tones with a modern twist – think camera shaped paperclips, striped bulldog clips, and lots of cute pegs to save your place in the diary – essential, necessary, you need it all.
Now I’ve shared my now not-so-secret stationery loves, I’d love to hear about your favourites brands – What pieces of stationery do you love particularly? Do you have shelves dedicated to pretty notepads? Are you a fan of cool stickers and quirky prints?
Lots of Love,
