Since chopping my hair back to it’s natural state, my haircare routine has done a full 180 – heavy duty conditioners are gone and volumising and clarifying shampoos are very much in. That being said, I don’t want to start attacking it with chemicals again so I’ve done some searching to find products that will nourish the hair without weighing it down, but also do a little something something when I want to ‘jushe’ it up (Jush? Zhoosh? Who knows). Meet your new quick fix hair heroes…

For those who want to wash and go but still feed your hair, then the Green People Quinoa and Artichoke Shampoo* and Conditioner* is for you; both work together to give the hair shine and volume (hallelujah) without compromising on ingredients. Quinoa is fabulous for strengthening each strand as it contains all 8 essential amino acids from protein, therefore boosting vitality and protection against breakage whilst Artichoke leaves the hair smooth, sleek and frizz-free, even protecting against UV damage and deeply clarifying. Combine this with improved shine after 5 washes and you’re onto a winner for healthy happy hair this autumn/winter.

If you can get a little bit bored with your hair, craving a cut or dye job when it feels a bit meh, then Maria Nila is your NBF; Maria Nila specialise in vegan friendly haircare from styling to deep reconstruction, but it’s their Colour Refresh* range that really caught my eye – a range of colours from your usual brown and red to blue, purple and silver to give your hair that much needed lift without ladening it with chemicals or drying it out, plus it only lashes a few washes so you can easily switch up the intensity of colour. Hair dye has a habit of smelling a bit harsh, but I adore the smell of this plus it really works for something subtle or more noticeable in your locks. I’ve been using the Pearl Silver to add more ash tones to my hair and it leaves a very soft purple/lilac sheen to those more golden areas but it’s perfect when I’m like ‘I WANT TO CHANGE MY HAIR’ (see this vlog for the first time I used the colour). As it gets colder, I’ll be going darker with the Cacao Intense shade and mixing in some silver to keep things ashy – you’ll no doubt see selfies galore once the deed is done, and to keep the condition in check the Green People range has been light enough to restore balance and keep the colour shinier for longer with each wash, plus the smells of each together keeps you sniffing your locks all day long. Yes, yes I do that too.

Shiny strong locks plus a quick colour refresh that takes minutes, what else could you want for an injected boost of happy hair this Autumn?

Have you tried Green People haircare before? Will you be exploring Maria Nila’s Colour Refresh range? How do you like to switch up your hair in the Autumn?

Lots of Love,

Lauren x
