Today marks the start of Organic Beauty Week, part of the Soil Association‘s #Campaign4Clarity campaign and their month long focus on all the awesome things in our world that are organic, and I seriously couldn’t be more excited – so much so I’m planning a week of beauty posts, hurrah! I love natural beauty, I love skincare, I love anything I can pop on my face that makes it happy and is kind not only the skin but to the process and environment it is made in.
There are some amazing brands on the market right now that have the Organic seal of approval, and a lot of them are on my wishlist to try more in the future, but I thought to get you all inspired into buying organic I’d share some of my favourite brands and products that I’ve been trying in the last few months that you seriously need to get ahold of…
Nourish Skin Range
One of the first organic brands to make its way into my skincare drawer was Nourish and I’ve been so impressed that added loads of products to my ‘things to try’ list ever since. In terms of skincare, I’ve been loving the Relax Hydrating Peptide Serum* which contains Lavender to soothe and repair the skin when inflammation or irritation occurs. The smell of this serum is absolutely incredible, and the effect it has on the skin is even better – I tried this after a long day in London, dehydrated and tired inside out and as soon as I applied this I felt instantly relaxed, but my skin also felt revitalised; the next morning I looked more alive and refreshed than usual which is fabulous, an essential for any busy girl or lavender lover! For skincare that smells good enough to eat and really nourishes (excuse the pun) the skin, Nourish is the way to go.
P.S. Nourish are offering 10% off orders until Midnight tonight so I’d get filling your basket ASAP!
Possibly the kindest skincare range and brand I’ve ever tried (and worked with), Green People has an amazing range of products from skincare and haircare to makeup and toothpaste! Personally I love the skincare – once a skincare junkie, always a skincare junkie – and their targeted range for acne and spots has been a huge help on my skin. The Zap and Clear Serum* contains Tea Tree and Black Willow Bark which really helps soothe spots and the antibacterial properties quickly shrink your spots without being too harsh thanks to the addition of Aloe Vera and Chamomile to calm inflammation. Acne and spots can leave you with blemish marks and the Anti-Ageing Facial Oil* has done wonders at speeding the healing process along – thanks to a combination of Avocado, Rosehip and Almond your skin gets injected with all those essential fatty acids to plump the skin and boost Vitamin E. Seriously, your skin will always be happy with Green People.
P.S. Green People are offering amazing discount when you buy 2 or more Superfood products until the end of September!
Ever since I sampled the Joyful Hand and Body Cream, I’ve been captivated by the incredible scent and job that Antipodes do with their products and I’m so glad I’ve been able to start off what is going to be a dangerous (but organic and heavenly) addiction to the brand. SO many of my friends have raved about the Aura Manuka Honey Mask* and honestly, they were all right. Not only does this soothe and nourish the skin, it helps with breakouts and clarifies the skin – basically, it’s a miracle for your skin and I never want it to end. Another product which is possibly good enough to eat is the Juliet Brightening Gel Cleanser* which I’ve been pairing with my new Magnitone brush (more on that soon) and yet again, it’s worked wonders – my skin feels soft, looks clearer and decongested, and it’s so kind and soft on skin that can get aggravated or breakout without notice. You know a brand is good when you want to start your evening routine at 3pm – now to add more Antipodes to my basket…
Don’t say I didn’t warn you, my skincare wishlist is probably even longer than my arm right now, and the fact that all of these products are organic and kind to the skin is even better. With the Soil Association seal approves across all of these brands, you can guarantee the ingredients and actions these perform are of the highest quality, will calm and treat your skin exactly as nature intended, and will make you enjoy your skincare routine more and more every day.
Don’t forget to follow the #Campaign4Clarity hashtag on Twitter to see what brands are promoting in-stores this week, and see how you can switch up your skincare to more organic brands!
Have you tried any of these brands before? Do you use organic beauty ranges? How long is your skincare wishlist now?
Lots of Love,
