If you’ve been round these parts a while, you’ll know that skincare is pretty much my thing. As 98% of my days consist of no-makeup, I like to make sure I’m feeding and caring for my skin with the best products out there, especially as I’ve made this year my year of great skin. So far, my skin has come leaps and bounds in just 4 weeks and I can only put it down to a combo of my diet with these new products – all natural, all vegan, and all new in my collection.

There’s some old faithful brands that I’ve expanded my collection on, and quite a few new finds that have really added that something to my routine – especially as all of them smell blooming delicious too. Whether you want to brighten your complexion, detox your pores, or just give it a dose of hydration, there’s something from my combo of new products that you’ll most likely fall in love with…

My first lot of new-in products came of course from MyChelle, my favourite – and probably all-time – natural brand, and even these small additions have made a huge improvement to my complexion. The Fruit Enzyme Cleanser* contains AHAs which help boost cell-renewal, and combined with my Konjac Sponge my pores look so clear and my skin super smooth and revived. I’m terrified of the day this runs out, in which case I’ll be stocking up on the largest size possible by the case.

To add to the brightening, refreshed glow, I’ve been loving the Apple Brightening Serum* which helps correct the skin-tone and defend against photo-ageing from lots of exposure to the elements; thanks to my teenage squeezing habits I (used) to have a lot of redness on my cheeks, but using this day and night has reduced that dramatically, plus my skin looks much more revived and awake than before – great for someone who only emerges in temperatures 18 degrees celsius and above.

Now I love my REN Glycolactic Mask however the Fruit Fiesta Peel* has now pipped it to the post, delivering smoothing and renewed results you can only dream of. As you can guess, this is a peel that has a cider vinegar smell to it but works to take off the top few layers of dead skin and cells to allow a fresh, soft complexion shine through. It only takes three minutes to work, and it really has some amazing refining results that have made my pores look more reduced and clear than before.

After my day at the Natural and Organic Product Show, I further expanded my MyChelle collection with the new launch, their Sugar Refining Cleanser* which if you love marshmallows, you will love this. An exfoliating cleanser that can be more vigorous or gentle depending on how much water you add, it turns into a cream and even removes your eye make-up – perfect for an evening cleanse on a light make-up day.

As much as I believed I was more oily/combination, I do have the odd dry area so to add that bit of moisture back into my skin I’ve been dotting the Ultra Hyaluronic Hydrating Serum* on my drier areas and the boost has been great. Combined with my ever faithful Egyptian Magic, they create a gorgeous rehydrating mix that really packs a punch.

Now for two new brands, one for which I have to thank Kate for; Nourish is constantly popping up on her blog and it always sounds incredible, so I was very pleased to get my hands on the Balance Essential Moisturiser* which helps to, well, balance out combination skin and keep those bumps at bay. I’ve just had two new products in the post too so expect to see them here soon, but for now, I’m super impressed with the nourishment (pun intended unfortunately).

Finally, and the perfect way to finish a skincare overhaul, a clay mask that is natural, great at eliminating oil and drawing out the impurities. I’ve been trialling the Sukin Detoxifying Clay Masque* for over a week now and it really has been a great addition to absorbing any excess oil on my forehead and keeping my pores clear. It’s a very creamy clay, with a gorgeous blend of goji berry, kale and parsley that is comfortable to use more than twice a week if you really need a deep clean, and so far I’m super impressed – it’s lovely to leave on when I feel like I need a clear out, and with all the lovely ingredients you can’t go wrong!

It’s safe to say I’m excited to do my morning routine every day now with so many gorgeous products in my collection, and if you’re interested in seeing an updated skincare routine then let me know and maybe a cheeky video will have to filmed – until then, I’m going to bask in all my serums, it would be rude not to…

Have you tried any new skincare recently? What is your favourite brand? Do you have a specific skincare routine?

Lots of Love,

Lauren x
