IT’S DECEMBER TOMORROW CHRISTMAS IS HERE! Now that outburst is over, let’s get back to the task at hand – looking at what I’ve loved this November, and there’s been some right corkers and some things that have become so ingrained in my life quickly I forgot they’d cropped up only this month…
One Direction’s FOUR For some reason unbeknownst to me, I put off pre-ordering FOUR until the night before it was released – living life on the edge. As per, once I’d got the CD ordered and a free MP3 Monday morning, I was once again hooked to their music and regressing back to fangirl status. Whether you’re a lover or a hater, this new album is spot on; their sound has grown whilst still retaining the catchy rhythm that made them popular, I’m genuinely surprised sometimes that it’s a One Direction album. Lots of rock and guitar influences, great songwriting, and only one song I have a niggle with, you have to have a little listen to see if your opinion changes on this super group.
Christmas Decorations You probably saw this little piece in my Festive Room Ideas post, but these additions around the house have really helped get us in the festive mood. Our tree has been ready to go for ages, so I’m excited to show off the final touches tomorrow when it’s apparently legal to celebrate Christmas (boo you Scrooges)
KORRES Cinnamon and Vanilla Body Milk I treated myself to this a month ago but only cracked it out once it got closer to Christmas. The lotion is a combination of two of my favourite scents, and it smells as uh-mazing as it applies. Because it’s so good, I only apply it to my arms and chest where the scent is more likely to pass off and so it lasts me forever and ever. Once a hoarder, always a hoarder.
Rodial STEMCELL Super-Food Cleanser + Lip Balm If you saw my review of the STEMCELL Super-Food range earlier this week, you’ll know I had some ups and downs with the cleanser. That being said, it’s been fabulous this past week after I’ve removed make-up or woken up to drier skin as a quick slap of this to cleanse gets my skin all plumped up and nourished in seconds. The lip balm is my go-to every morning and night for replenishment, and for when you feel the heating dry out you lips from the heat – a definite must have!
La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+ It’s back in my life, and it’s definitely not going anywhere. When my skin broke out the worst it had in 4 years, using this and the Effaclar Kit (review coming soon!) helped wipe out the spots and scars in a week, and now daily use has made my skin so clear again that I’m questioning why I didn’t pick up a tube earlier on! It’s a lifelong love I can tell.
Nails Inc. Tate Nail Varnish + Seche Vite Top Coat My ultimate nail combo this autumn/winter; the red is the perfect blend of bold tones with a darker edge that’s perfect for any autumn outfit or occasion, and it’s also been made better by a discount purchase of Seche Vite. I’ve been after a bottle of this for ages but, let’s be honest, £10 is a bit much, so when I spotted it half price in TK Maxx it was promptly snapped up and it’s been a staple for every colour I’ve worn this season. It’s holy grail for a reason, as it really does dry in seconds and gives a tough yet sleek shellac finish that last ages!
Blog Events Looking back at this month and what I’ve got coming up in December, networking and meeting new people across the country has been so amazing. I’ve made some gorgeous and talented new friends over the past few months, and I’ve been able to learn more about brands and products I hadn’t heard much about but have now become new favourites. I’m thankful my job has allowed me to get as far as I have now, and it’s been an amazing experience to find like minded people all over the UK. I’ll stop before I sob.
Have you listened to One Direction’s new album? Have you got a new skincare love? Are you super duper excited for December?!
Lots of Love,
