Helloooo everyone !
I love being able to translate my wardrobe from day to night, and rocking evening outfits during the morning work-shift. I’m also one to buy lifelong pieces from fantastic brands so when I was scouring out the JOY The Store website I was spoilt for choice !
I was particularly drawn to the new Louche range which has some amazing bold prints and cute printed accessories, so naturally I complied a wishlist of pieces and made some outfit posts of how I’d translate each piece from day to night
Outfit 1 – Office to Drinks
Possibly the most common transition for outfits, make sure you look pretty but feel comfy throughout the day with the Louche Prima Sequin Collar Blouse and Louche Desi Skirt, a bold statement piece that will brighten up the day. Carry all your essentials in a cool slouchy bag such as this subtle ASOS Nylon Polka Dot Shopper Bag or bold Louche Clapham Stripe Bag, and top (or bottom) it all off with either a nice neutral chunky shoe such as the River Island Mary Jane Grey Platforms or some comfy on-trend shoes like the ASOS Pony Effect Slip On Trainers.
I like to keep my colour palettes similar, so picking out the key colours of an outfit helps to brighten the evening look. By having a statement blue skirt, I’ve chosen to pump up the blue with the Louche Cressida Bag (which is currently on sale !) and these gorgeous ASOS Pensive Pointed High Heels for a touch of classy chic. If you’re not one for lots of bold colours, add some monochrome pieces for an easy evening re-vamp such as the gorgeous The Helena Bag by Marc B via TOPSHOP and some dainty little ASOS SORTED Heels
Outfit 2 – Market to Party
As soon as I saw this dress, I envisioned myself at Portobello or Notting Hill Market, buying flowers or fruit from stalls. The bright print of the Louche Kiah Lemon Dress is eye-catching and refreshing, and it’s such a versatile shape which is perfect for day-to-night; you could also throw a t-shire underneath or a shirt as it gets cooler ! For all my shopping and handbag essentials, this super cute plain New Look Baroque Lazercut Tote Bag keeps the yellow bold but accents the tones of the palette perfectly, as do these ASOS DIZZY Plimsoles which are also perfect for long mornings on your feet and running around the city – they also make this look very 50s. As the evening sets in, it’s time to switch the bag and shoes and get the glitz and glamour on ! This time the yellow and gold is taking front and centre with a sleek gold Louche Ascot Clutch for all your bits and bobs, and some seriously statement heels for height and attention – thanks ASOS HEAD STRONG Suede Heeled Sandals !!
Outfit 3 – Coffee + Shopping to Dining + Dancing
I love orange, and I love blue; naturally I love this combo. The Louche Hart Dress was the first item from the range to catch my eye as the print is just right up my street and I love how vivid the colours are. To dress it down in the day, I’ve gone for another spacious shopper bag – Louche Daytona Bag – in a lovely soft brown to see me through the start of autumn and keep the outfit light, and paired with these Dune Luka Brogues by Bertie they keep the look simple and casual with a cute 60’s edge. For extra casual points, this Louche Polka Dot Hairband will look fab with a high bun or ponytail and compliment the blue hue of the print.
As we get into evening territory it’s time to switch up the accessories again, and I’m on a blue overload. Firstly bringing out the blue in the dress, the Louche Lambeth Bag is the perfect size for carrying all your belongings and just compliments perfectly the palette of the outfit. Now ladies, I’m not one to steer clear of clashing so when I saw these Dune Hatti Paint Splatter Heels I knew they would be perfect with the dress; same print but a darker blue makes them evening ready and I love the slim heel and ankle strap for a modern twist. I also spotted this gorgeous Louche Marble Stone Ring which is absolutely me, a statement blue stone which is just enough accessorizing against a bold outfit.
I think I need a shopping trip, it’s gonna happen soon….the Louche Hart Dress will be mine I tell you ! I absolutely love love love JOY The Store’s brand and their clothes are just part of an amazing range. I’ve not seen many bloggers talk about the store but it’s definitely high quality at an affordable price.
Lots of Love,
