Helloooo everyone !

To have nourished, hydrated and swishy hair is probably every girl’s dream; goodbye to the damage of bleaching and hello to restoration. I’ve searched high and low for years for something that will repair the dryness of my over-bleached ‘do – as you know I found KeraCare disappointing, and Moroccan Oil is a very good product for dry hair, yet it still felt quite thick for my hair. Thankfully a few weeks ago, a package containing the O’Right Golden Rose Oil* landed on my doorstep and I quickly set about trying it on my hair and seeing what goodness it bought.

Firstly, a brief description of the brand; O’Right represent themselves on a green, eco-friendly living lifestyle, using only natural and organic ingredients in their products, and also in their packaging (it even includes a seed packet to spread in my garden!).

The hair oil itself contains selected Golden Rose essential oils and water-soluble silicone to restore tightness and gloss to the hair, whilst prolonging the treatment’s effects to keep the hair silky smooth for days. It’s easily absorbed, and doesn’t leave a greasy oil residue – so let’s put it to the test.

The product states that after shampooing, you towel dry the hair until there is no (or at least not a lot) water left in the hair. Using a few pumps, spread it through the hair and allow to dry as normal.
On my first use, I used about 5-6 pumps to condition my hair thoroughly and this left my locks quite sleek and wavy/straight. I did find it made my hair greasier quicker using this amount, so I switched to using 2-3 pumps once a week for a conditioner and 1 small pump after conditioner as a nourishing treatment. This made my hair much softer in comparison to before and still allowed it to keep it’s natural shape.

This is a really lovely lightweight oil which I believe any hair type can use – it’s a god send to people like me who have a lot of fine hair, as even a small amount will smooth and replenish the locks quickly. As with all oils, I think they’re better used on towel-dried and damp hair as they are absorbed easily and not leave such a large amount of residue but just enough to serve their purpose.

Final thoughts? O’Right Hair Oil is a bit of alright. Probably the best hair oil I’ve tried in ages, years in fact. It’s natural, it’s lightweight, it is easy to run through your ends, has a delicious scent which is neutral enough to not overpower your current fresh wash, and has truly made my hair softer. A golden product from a golden rose. You can buy this little piece of deliciousness here for £27.00

Have you tried O’Right Golden Rose Hair Oil? What’s your holy grail hair product for nourished locks?

Lots of Love,
Lauren x
