| classic countryside meets the modern lady |
Helloooo everyone !
When we get a good day back home, the garden and conservatory really looks outstanding, and thanks to my mum’s love of Country Living it all looks so quintessentially British countryside and cute. It really got me in the mood for wearing pretty outfits and drinking some good ol’cuppas of (herbal) tea to celebrate the English summer and enjoy the garden a bit more.
As typical for an English girl, my wardrobe is lacking in the summer skirt department as we’ve taken our time getting in the sunny mood (thanks sun) but thankfully Warehouse came to my rescue with this amazing summer skirt collection – how cute are the designs and lengths, perfect for picnics and summer evening walks.
The lovely people at Spreaditfast and Warehouse asked me to pick and style a skirt for their recent campaign, and I really had a hard time picking a skirt – I was doing pros and cons all afternoon until I roped mum in to help, mums do know best. After much deliberation I chose this beautiful blue midi skirt as I have a love of lace, blue and sheer panels; the dream skirt you could say. I knew exactly how to style it as I have a current favourite top which has been a thrifty pick of mine for years – I love blue, and it fits so well.
Obviously knowing me, I like my comfort so heels are not garden appropriate unlike these amazing flatform trainers which are super comfy, super height enhances, and were super cheap. These mixed with my spotty turban headband – which I have been loving thanks to Suzie – give this pretty lady outfit a Lauren touch, a bit chilled, relaxed with an edge yet very colour co-ordinated. I like co-ordination.

Don’t you think this outfit looks lovely with the outdoors ? If that’s not enough to get me outside I don’t know what is. I absolutely adore this lace pattern and the colour of the skirt, it’s my favourite shade and I’m excited to wear it again this Sunday for a family gathering (with heels, not flatform trainers).
Do you love Warehouse’s new summer range ? What’s your favourite summer piece ?
Lots of Love,
