|  everything I need to feel human again |

Helloooo everyone !

First, apologies for being AWOL on the blog and chatting away on twitter etc; being in London made it hard to update and then I got really ill thanks to hayfever (why does hayfever exist ?!) luckily I was staying in a house full of nurses who helped me beat my fever and runny nose on the way home. I shed a few tears and got annoyed as I rarely get ill, and a day indoors resting really saved me, and my feet as I got about 4 massive blisters from walking around.

ANYWAY, feeling rough called for a nice pamper routine to get me feeling refreshed and human again and I have a perfect routine to get your skin back to normal again.
I like to start with cleansing and exfoliating my face with the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm and the Elemis Skin Buff as it really gets rid of the dead skin cells and helps to keep my face soft, sometimes I mix in the Clarins One Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser to add extra scrub and product to work with.

Then to the steam, using a big bowl of hot water to open up the pores and I find it really relaxes the mind and muscles with all the steam; you can get lost in steam-heaven and feel your skin start to open up and get the blood pumping. I know regular steaming with hot water is bad for the skin, but I like to once or twice a week dunk my head in for about 3-5 minutes until the moisture runs into the bowl before drying my face and applying the Elemis Herbal Lavender Repair Mask – if I find it too dry I will mix in my Quick Fix Calming Clay Mask or the Clarins Blue Orchid Face Oil, works like a charm.

Leaving for 10 minutes, my skin looks and feels clean and clear, so it’s time to replace the oil and moisture. Depending how my skin is I will either use the Clarins Blue Orchid or Lotus Oil, La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+ to keep blemishes at bay and a super hydrating moisturiser such as the Clarins Hydraquench Cream.

If I am looking for a more rejuvenated look, I use my little sample of the Elemis Fruit Active Rejuvenation Mask which really softens and brightens the skin – glorious !

A weekly treat will keep your skin in top shape, and allow you to relax and become normal again. It only takes 15 minutes and you’ll love to escape for a little while and indulge – we must all look after ourselves 🙂

Hope you’ve had a lovely weekend, and we’ll be back on track soon – I will beat this sniffle !
Lots of Love,
Lauren x
