| products that refresh and prepare my skin for the day |
Helloooo everyone !
Well I have had such a busy weekend, I’ve not stopped at all and I’ve been longing for lounging on the sofa and in bed. One Direction were absolutely amazing and we saw Alfie Deyes, Marcus Butler, Louise Sprinkle of Glitter, Joe Sugg, Dan from Danisnotonfire and Zoella (although we couldn’t quite see her fully but she was there !) at the concert too, they were the block next to us, although they had to move as everyone mobbed them. But that was surreal. Our seats were so good and the energy was just insane, even if you are not a fan – like Lily said in her video about the gig – you cannot help but get swept up in the energy.
Now, onto the post of the day which is a renewed look at my Daily Skincare Routine. It’s taken me a few years to find something that fits my skin and never fails, and I recently shopped my stash again to trail out old moisturisers I forgot about so a review of that will come in a few weeks. These products have saved my skin and give it the goodness it needs, obviously your skin may be different but you can still learn about ones that may help you 🙂
Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser
This exfoliater has been a staple for years and is always good for a daily cleanse, as you can tell from the lack of product I have left. As it says on the bottle, it is gentle so everyday use is fine on my oily and sometimes sensitive skin – you can just use your hands as a light buff with more of a cleanse to it, or a scrub mitt for a deeper removal of grime. La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo +
My one and only saviour, this product has really sorted out my skin. After reading reviews and jumping on the bandwagon, I use this everyday and nighttime to keep blemishes sorted out, and to heal any redness in the skin. 2-3 days is all it takes for my skin to calm down which is better than a week and it always works. This brand is worth every penny. Buy It Here
Elemis Pro-Collagen Advanced Eye Treatment
I had been using this eye serum for a while before I switched it to only night time use, but it is still a great product for the mornings. I got this along with my Elemis Pro-Collagen Advanced Cleansing Balm for £30 – a bargain as they are £30 each usually – and it has left my under eyes feeling plumper and stronger. The only thing I have realised now is that I need a product to moisturise my eye lids and also to rid my inner corners of slight darkness so I am on the hunt for a new product (or two). Buy It Here
Clarins Lotus Face Treatment Oil
This oil is so good for oily skinned girls, from application to washing off my face is basically oil free. This is meant for night but I use it mainly in the day to prevent oil creeping into my face when wearing foundation and it seriously works. It hydrates you fully but counteracts the production of oils in your skin so it’s a win win situation really. I dabble in the Blue Orchid oil when I feel really dry in the Winter and that does give me a boost of moisture – but you will become oilier. I highly recommend these oils to all skin types as there are three to cover all needs – oily, combination and dry. Buy It Here
Clarins Hydraquench Cream Mask
This is a product I dip and dabble in when I really need some extra moisture and softness to my skin, not an everyday necessarily but when I get a bout of skin trouble this does soothe it a lot. The Hydraquench range is one we’ve used a lot of, from the serum to the moisturisers, so we know it works and does what it says. This is great in winter mainly but also when you really have thirsty skin, I used this on my flight to America last year and it worked a treat ! What’s also great is that when Clarins have deals on, you usually get a great sample size of this free in a goody bag – stocking up asap ! Buy It Here
Have you used any of these products before ? What’s your favourite skincare product or range to use ? And can you recommend a good eye-cream ?!
Lots of Love,
