| A look at my favourite looks from the annual Met Ball in New York |
Helloooo everyone !
As every beady eye fashion-lover and celebrity advocate will know, the Met Ball was held this past week and boy, were we in for a treat.
So many beautiful gowns, crop-tops and beauty looks – Joan Smalls’ purple lip is my must – that I’ve got a quick round up of my favourites for you.
Beyonce – Givenchy Couture | fits her curves beautifully and is ultra-glam whilst being understated at the same time. Classy yet current is my favourite way to impress.
Blake Lively | not only does she get to wake up to Ryan Reynolds every day, but she is rocking that Gucci Premiere gown. The colour is beautifully simple and she has got it going on below the face – boobs appreciation.
Emma Stone | It’s so simple and clean I love it too much ! The pink works so well against her skin, and I love that you could wear this on the street.
Suki Waterhouse | The dress is soft and feminine from my fave Britihs designer, but can we discuss the make-up ? PERFECTION.
Rihanna | She can do not wrong. This is 90’s at it’s best and it’s so simple and she has a fab figure, and now I’m going to go calm myself down over my Rihanna moment there.
As well as those fab ladies, I love how many other celebs have stuck to styles they know and trust work for them, bringing their personality to the table; The Olsens in Vintage never fails, Cara in trousers and crop screams London tomboy, Lea in gold and also working that open neckline – dream dress right there, and Rachel McAdams is a beauty in that pale pastel Ralph Lauren dress, so delicate and simple.
With all events, I love the outfits that are simple, classic, fit the body shape, and will always be strong years later. If you can wear something you can look back on in 20 years and not regret, then you have nailed it. I’m not saying don’t go bold; Beyonce and Rosie H-W’s outfits are bold, spiked and sheer but the silhouettes are a classic that suit their body shapes and will still be working years later.
What was your best outfit fro the Gala ? Any mistakes seriously made ?
Lots of Love,
