Hellooo Everyone !
Style of the Week focuses on the remainder of LFW, with so many amazing collections this upcoming season that I found it difficult to choose favourites.
But alas I have, and I will go on and on about how amazing just some of these shows were until you know every little detail behind London’s greatest.
Mother of Pearl: A new take on the floral inspirations designers so regularly tap into, with designs showcasing blackbirds, foliage, and other woodland creatures familiar in childhood illustrations. Using subtle embellishment, the rich tones of burgundy, blues and pastels weave together through the light movements of silk to create one decadent collection.
Ann Yee: Grey hues and grunge – a new take on the young edgy look, using neutral and fresh tones mixed with interesting textures and cuts to create a more sophisticated and everyday wearable look. From the holey jumpers to the thick-knitted woolen coats, this collection is perfect for those who want to update their style without losing that classic edge.
Burberry Prorsum: This is my collection, I fell in love instantly. From the flowing scarves and dresses of Oriental inspiration, to the sheepskin coats which reflect an almost Native American influence, this collection was a step up for Christoper Bailey which displayed a flowing freedom, with detailed restraint and shape that will give all its followers poise and style in wearing.
Temperley London: The Mediterranean influence here is undeniable. The prints in blue and white reflect mosaics seen in Italy and Santorini, perfect beach-side details that brighten up the shoreline. The patterns teamed with trendy British tailoring creates a collection wearable for all events. Fabulously layered, and fabulously executed.
Matthew Williamson: Sparkly, starstruck, and silky. A reflection of Williamson’s A-List fans was strongly evident in this collection, the sparkle and glamour was made wearable and stylish with the fantastic colour palette and 60’s tailored cuts. A nod to a great British era bought up to date with modern tones, everyone can find a piece here that suits them.
I hope this gives you a little insight into LFW – I am so excited for the blues trend my favourite !
Let me know what you want to see next too, and don’t forget to support my photography project.
Lots of Love,
