My skin has been super clear and smooth recently - I'm ecstatic, thrilled, overjoyed, all the other positive happy emotions and adjectives - and it's finally kickstarted me into easy, natural coverage makeup across the board; I'd already cut my collection down to cruelty free items only (alongside a few token special purchases which still break my heart due to animal testing) but now I'm being very thorough with new purchases and things I agree to try, which I guess is a good thing for both my makeup drawer and purse ;)
Until this month, I'd never tried Too Faced. I know, it's a horror, many people have told me to get on the bandwagon yesterday, and now I finally have, I'm pretty obsessed (especially since all these products are cruelty free and vegan friendly, woohoo!)
The Hangover Primer* has had so many good reviews from friends and the internet alike, and upon application (and sniffing) I have to agree - it's the perfect fluidity to hydrate and apply evenly, prepping the skin and keeping it smooth, and my foundation whether matte or dewy stays put so well. It keeps my skin balanced all day long, and the coconut scent makes me want a virgin Pina Colada and sunshine asap.
Speaking of sunshine, I've been enjoying the faux glow of Chocolate Soleil* - it's quite dark and intimidating at first, but I've found a light full circle sweep and tapping off of excess applies enough product for a more bronze-brown glow; I tend to go tops of cheekbones/apples of cheeks as I don't use blusher, and it adds some much needed life to my skin - plus it smells of chocolate, what could be better?!
The Natural Matte Palette* has swifly become my go-to, I'm again obsessed with Honey Butter and Strapless (centre top and middle above) which is an unusual mix but I think looks fab in Spring with light berry lips. The palette overall is a great varied selection, compact, and perfect for travel and basically having every variation of eye look you need - bless ya Too Faced!
I didn't think I'd need/use the Lip Insurance Lip Primer* much, but I've practically applied it each time I wear my lipstick! Personally, I find it a bit drying so if you're wearing liquid lipstick on top, I'd apply a little balm before or after the primer to keep it feeling comfortable, but whatever formula I wear stays put and lasts all day - no smudging, no bleeding, just apply the primer, blot your lippy and reapply, and then the colour will stick all day, no trouble ;)
So much for the beauty accumilating ban right? What are your Too Faced recommendations? Or better yet, any vegan/cruelty free picks I should try next?
