I don't know about you, but I feel buying presents can be hit and miss sometimes - there are some people I just know what to get, and others I'm overanxiously struggling to decide on, so to make things easy I've opted for beauty and lifestyle things I think anyone would love (if your men loves socks then definitely pop a few in this stocking, always a winner!) but mostly because I know these gifts rock, and if I found any of these under the tree, well then that person will be staying in my good books all year long ;)
For the skincare lover...
Cleansers are one of my fave things - every morning now I take time to massage my skin for a mini facial and it leaves my skin feeling uhmazing; the best and two of my favourites have been released in special Christmas minis which are perfect for trying out - the Oskia Reneissance Cleanser Merry and Bright Cracker* is just packaging goals, amiright? For £18.50, you get a fab 40ml cleanser that is proven to last a year of travels, and the cleanser itself is amazing for all skin types, particularly acne/blemish prone due to the addition of MSM which is a near pure source of sulpher (perfect for anti-inflammatory, collagen production and detoxifying needs). Also containing light exfoliants, the gel-to-balm consistency balances the skin, contains bio-available ingredients and melts makeup plus it smells like a spa so WHY NOT? Speaking of spa like cleansers, my favourite 'slather it on your face and melt the day away' cleansing balm is Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Mini Cleanser which comes inside a bauble - imagine a tree filled with Oskia crackers and Emma Hardie baubles, divine! £15 gives you a mini 10ml size which again is great to trial or travel, and the addition of rose and jasmine helps the balm plump and soften the skin. If someone you know is in need of luxury skin TLC then both of these will change your complexion for the better, and you'll definitely be ordering a second for yourself as a treat.
Whether you've a younger family member who is starting their skincare journey or have a lady in your life who needs a bit of natural goodness in their routine, you cannot go wrong with the Pai Everyday Hero Collection* - containing three of their best-selling products, all ingredients are natural and vegan friendly (super kind for your skin especially if sensitive or not used to full on skincare) and for £38 you are making a big saving; the Camelia and Rose Cleanser is so soft and perfectly cleanses impurities and removes makeup whilst adding in needed moisture to keep skin soft and smoothe, whilst the Chamomile and Rosehip Calming Day Cream helps calm redness and irritation, plus their Rosehip Bio-Regenerate Oil is seriously as good as everyone raves - the concentrated dose helps boost glow, regenerate the skin and is great on acne/blemish prone skin too!
For little additions, you can't go wrong with a bit of eye cream and the latest release from Antipodes* is really spectaular - a nice, rich creamy texture to add hydration and restoration to a delicate area on the skin (perfect after a few late nights prepping roast dinner and present wrapping), and another new release from Pai in the form of Head to Toe Hero Buriti Balm* is a great multitasker, for hydrating lips, cuticles, moisturising limbs - the essentials in winter weather, and a lovely stocking filler.
For the lifestyle lover...
You can't go wrong with lifestyle bits, they're usually the items that go missed on the list but are greatly appreciated in the long term; firstly, everyone needs hand-cream and my personal fave is Body Shop Hemp Hand Cream but any natural or gentle formula that adds hydration for longer and equally feels luxurious is a winner! Equally, we all need to chill and pamper and that is where I have plenty of options: if you or someone you know loves creating a calm environment, then help set the mood with some high quality candles (this year I'm loving Neom's Scents of Christmas Set but their Tranquility candle is also beautiful) or if sleep is struggle then calm the mind and enviroment with Mio Liquid Yoga Stress Free Space Spray - possibly my favourite thing in the world and would cry if I ran out, it smells amazing and always sends me to sleep! Speaking of things that smell good, you can't beat a bit of Lush and something festive that still smells good all year round is their Wiccy Magic Muscles Massage Bar (read my review here) - any of the massage bars would be fab as they are super nourishing and really do make a difference to your skin.
My personal cosy night (or day, let's not lie) is being curled up with a book and comfies, and something I'm obsessed with right now is bedsocks (shop the ones above here) which are 10x better than regular socks so buy them for everyone including yourself (treat yo'self 2016) you won't regret it; similarly I feel Christmas is a good time to switch off and do some reading and one book I encurage everyoneto read is Laura Bates 'Girl Up' - a very insightful and empowering read on equality and owning yourself I encourage everyone to read. I'd also recommend Emma Gannon 'Ctrl Alt Dlt', Elizabeth Gilbert 'Big Magic and Eat Pray Love, Rainbow Rowell 'Fangirl' for younger family members and Tara Mohr 'Playing Big'.
Hopefully that is Christmas sorted, or at least inspired! Now I'm going to copy and paste this to all my family members, and smile with glee when I get 20 pairs of bedsocks and Liquid Yoga ;)
