It seems that holiday season is in full swing now, and after a week spent by the pool relaxing, I've certainly caught on to what is really essential to keep you entertained during the obviously hard task of looking at the ocean - oh if I must if no one else will ;)
Somehow I ended up with 7 books to read which I thought was a bit excessive but I can somehow digest words fast, usually getting through at least one book a day. Books are a great way to get absorbed and switch off from the world, to refocus and relax the mind (unless it's The Girl on the Train and the last 10 minutes is you spent thinking HELL NO). My personal favourites were 'The Life Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**k' and 'L'Art de Simplicitie' which both spurred my recent de-cluttering and streamlined approach to life. A lot less stuff and unwanted energy, a lot more happiness.
There's no reason not to look fab on holiday, even if it's adding a few simple details to make you feel fancy by the beach and I personally loved popping on my Jewellery Box Ear-Cuff or Silver Hoops to give my look a little something extra. Seeing as I don't have piercings apart from my lobes, an adjustable cuff makes it a lot easier to feel cool minus the pain and healing process of another hole in my ear, so a good alternative for whimps like me at only a few pounds! Bargain.
Finally you'll have heard me speak about the Kiehls Ultra Light Daily UV Defence Mineral Suncream on my channel this week for a 3 Minute Review, and it's honestly one of the best facial suncreams I've tried! Sadly it only seems to be stocked in duty free or American websites so just book yourself a flight purely to stock up (worth it, but please come to the UK soon) and it's suitable for acne and sensitive complexions, working an absolute treat with a bit of coverage to boot - MARVELLOUS!
What are your poolside essentials? Are you an avid book reader? Do you dress up or down by the pool?
Lots of Love,
