Blusher is always a funny one with me - I either love it in the depths of winter in a deep, dusty mauve hue or in the prime spring/summer transition for a pop of pinky goodness, otherwise I just don't feel it; I'm more about sculpting cheekbones and adding warmth to a pale complexion, not adding more pink and red tones to my already flushed cheeks.
Something seasonal took over me recently, and I found myself thinking 'you know what, I'm going to add some blush today', and I didn't go for my old favourites which are so out of date I need to bin them, but two that are both 1) not the usual formula and 2) the usual colours. Call it spring inspired, but I'm absolutely crushing on these blushes right now.
I mentioned The Body Shop Fresh Sorbet Blush in Cuban Watermelon* at the beginning of the year and it wasn't colour appropriate hence why it's only making an appearance now, but this watery pigmented formula is seriously amazing for warmer months; yes you need to blend quick as it can dry down within 20 seconds, but a light finger touch with thin buildable layers gives a lovely natural flush in the boldest pink hue that would make you feel like a tropical princess on the beach. Someone fetch me a mocktail!
Now this little Inika Blusher Puff Pot* has been my go-to in recent weeks due to it's easy puff applicator and wearable colour; it's easy to pop in your bag and touch up on-the-go (not that you'll need to, as the colour lasts for hours) plus it gives a natural, blended to the skin flush that is just enough to make you look rosy rather than red. It's easy to wear day or night, and it's vegan friendly too for an added bonus!
What are your current favourite blushes? Are you more blusher or bronzer? Have you tried either of these brands?
Lots of Love,
