TRYING URBAN DECAY

Wednesday, April 27, 2016

I remember when I got my first (well, only) NAKED Palette from Urban Decay - it was my 20th birthday and I'd heard/read/seen from every blogger and person on the planet that this was the palette to have in your life. The range of colours from cool to warm, shimmers and mattes, plus the luxury packaging made me so excited to use and wear it on my birthday, and pretty much since then it's kept a firm place in my stash and only caused my UD collection to grow.

Okay, albeit very small, my little stash of Urban Decay comes with some new and much loved products that have made an impression on me since I started to take more interest in what I was buying. Yes, the NAKED Palette will always have a place in my heart due to it being one of the first enabled purchases made but also having some rocking multi-style eye looks in one place (plus the Primer Potion* it comes with seriously keeps your shadow on all day), and the NAKED Skin Concealer is honestly one of the best formulas I've ever tried - conceals acne/blemishes/redness with one application enough for your entire face (amazing) plus it's creamy enough to blend evenly but not too thick it looks cakey or settled in creases. The dream concealer if you will, I urge you to buy it NOW.

Recently I've been toying with a few new goodies - now I'm not one for eyeliner and I felt my days of a black flick were gone, but I've been working my hand using the 24/7 Glide On Eyeliner in Perversion* and after a few 'too thick a line' situations, I'm getting the hang of it and I actually look 'awake' for once. Even with long lashes, my eyes can look undefined in photos sometimes so it's nice to know I can do a flick and look super fresh if I want to. To match the liner, UD has also come up with the matching Perversion Mascara* which is meant to be blackest of black, lengthening, volumising and nourishing without causing clumps. I do have a few mascaras on the go right now, but the promise of volume and length? I'm sold.

Finally, the good ol'face spritz that again everyone tells me I need. I saw Lily mention this on Snapchat once so was intrigued to give it a go as it has a few more goodies in the mix, but the B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray* helps to absorb oil, minimise pores and reduce redness through the day to keep your makeup look slick and fresh all day long. Even though it's meant to prep, I find it work well before and after makeup to keep everything in place, with it look just as fresh as the morning (even if underneath I'm feeling that slip, especially in the Mexican heat) and can we give a shout out to the double capped lid - no spillage or leaks here!

Now I'm more than interested in trying other products from the brand, so what do you recommend? Are you a fan of Urban Decay? Have you tried any of these products?

Lots of Love,
Lauren x
