Christmas is one of the happiest times of the year, a time to spend relaxing (when you can), eating all the festive treats (not compromised) and of course, treating yourself and your loved ones. I always prefer buying for others, to see the look on their faces when they open up a gift you’ve seen online or in store that you immediately know ‘YES’ when your eyes lay on it.
But with all this gift giving, we can sometimes forget to treat ourselves (unless you end up buying your own presents, because gal loves a Space NK deal) which is why The Body Shop’s 24 Days of Happiness is all about treating yourself with everything from Bestselling products to even Afternoon Tea at The Ritz!
With that in mind, I took up an invitation from the team at Westfield White City to go experience the 24 Days myself, whilst checking out the staple and seasonal gifts on offer this year.
The 24 Days of Christmas is the bigger and better version of their Advent Calendar, whereby every customer can go along to the machine at the front of the store, ‘open’ the present bow on the box by using the touch screen computer, and get a chance to win a prize from the three levels on offer - Level One is picking out a free mini goodie from lucky dip, Level Two is a full sized Christmas Gift set and Level Three is the biggy, where you can potentially win spa days, theatre tickets or even Westfield gift vouchers to enjoy pre or post-Christmas!
With all this festive promise I had a go myself, opening the bow and waiting for my ticket to pop out the bottom….a Level One gift for me, but a gift nonetheless (because hey, everyone is winner right?). I decided to wait before picking up my treat, instead taking up a tour by one of the lovely members of staff to discover some of the new launches this year and season.
Firstly, the Spa of the World Collection smells INCREDIBLE - a Salt Scrub that melts just enough so it easily works into the skin but exfoliates beautifully, and the African Ximenia Scrub has a fresh but heavily bodied scent that I just adore. Even though it’s not a true beauty product, a standout for me was the Wooden Thai Massager which is perfect for tackling knots, achey muscles and saves your hands from doing the hard work of a massage (if you’re like me and your hands seize up easily that is!)
After discovering a few more treats - I can see why the Vitamin E spray is SUCH a hit - it was time for me to take my lucky dip and I picked out a Satsuma Body Gel, which smells so fresh and cleansing, perfect for Spring (if I can wait that long). The Body Shop were also kind enough to give me a few more goodies to try so expect a few words on some of them in the future - I’m so keen to try the Blush Souffle you have no idea.
All in all, if you’re looking for an extra treat for yourself during the last-minute Christmas rush, pop into The Body Shop, and see what the last of the 24 Days of Happiness can bring to you!
Have you bought anything from The Body Shop recently? How would you spend your 24 Days of Happiness? Are you ready for Christmas on Friday?!
Lots of Love,
